Instructions with Technologies for Middle School Classrooms

            We all know  what technology is. As I have explained in my post before, technology is very beneficial. It has many functions and also purposes if we can used it appropriately.  What it will be going to is based on ourselves. If we can used it maximally, it will be helpful for us.

            We also know the impact caused by technology in education system. Because of the use of technology in education system, especially in schools, the process of learning can be more easier. We can see on a computer. Computer is one of the important thing that we need to improve our ability in education.  Nowadays, the form of computer has changed. It can be more easier to bring. teachers and students walking around with laptops or tablet PCs, and many people will have a mobile phone in their pocket that is capable of doing rather more than the mainframe computers.

            By using the technology, the process of education can be more effective and easier. The students may have better understanding if using technology in classroom activity than using manual activity. The students will be more interested in the technology that used in their classroom. Because of this interesting, the students will be easier to absorb the material of learning or  what their teacher said. It includes to the students of middle school that majority of them have high curiosity. Their curiosity will improve by using technology in classroom. It can make them more enthusiastic in learning.

Online Social Media Applications for Language Teaching and Learning

     Nowadays is a technology era. Everyone knows and use many applications for many purposes. There are a lot of social media, such as Facebook, Messenger,  Twitter, Path, Instagram, Line, whatsApp and many more. Not only adult but also children may have these aplications.

        The development of social media affects the education world, especially in teaching and learning process. The way of teaching is not only by face-to-face activity but, it can be online activity. It can improve the ability and also the attitudes of the students. Students are learn to be more creative and interactive by doing this way. For example, if the teacher can not come to the class, the students are able to learn by themselves.

          According to TED-Ed Blog, there are 25 awesome social media applications that can improve teaching and learning process. All of those have different function. If the teacher can master all of those applications, I think the process of learning can be easier. Those applications are TED-Ed, Haikudeck, Duolingo, Draw and Tell, Animoto, iMovie, Instructables, Hopscotch, and Tinkercard that for teaching students how to present, create and code, Evernote, Explain Everything, Educreations, and Oxford Dictionaries that can be used for everyday classroom needs, and also For collaborating on school projects, Slack, Google Apps for Education, Schoology, Midmeister, and Wikispaces are useful social media application for students and teachers, Remind, Edublog, ClassDojo for comunicating with students, and then the last are Edmodo, Socrative, Moodle, and Google Forms for giving and receiving students feedback.

         One of the application that I have used is Edmodo. I have used this application since 2014 when I took listening subject. I think this application is very useful. As we know that the intensity of face-to-face activity in learning is not enough for us, so that we can use that application for learning by ourself. We can look at many materials that given by the teacher through Edmodo. It can be accessed by us easily. I think, it is also one of the effective way to improve our ability.
